“Deep crimson. Very attractive dark plum, blackcurrant pastille fruits, generous concentration, beautifully ripe chocolaty tannins and well balanced savoury complexity. Finishes firm and minerally. (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. About 50% new oak)”

“Lusciously-textured, supple, creamy, full-bodied, and deep, the fruits and long, silky and vibrant, leaving you with layers of ripe, black, and deep red, sweet, fresh, elegant berries. Drink from 2026-2050.”

“Sumptuous and svelte, this has a nice sleek core with a smooth texture - clean fruit offset by present, grippy and fleshy tannins that coat the whole mouth. Fruit feels ripe and well worked and this has shots of cool freshness and nice balancing acidity. Clean and stylish with purity, length and lots to like and where the ample tannins combine with serious juiciness that gives energy and focus. A great wine from Margaux and consistently good quality from this estate run by Ludovic David. Julien Viaud consultant. Merlot harvest 13-20 September, Cabernet Sauvignon 22-29, Petit Verdot 21 September. HVE3 certified. Ageing 16 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. Rolland & Associés consultants.”

“Blackcurrant, black olive and black berry aromas and flavors. Full and chewy with very polished tannins. It’s all integrated and focused. Solid young wine here.”

“Big, bold, dark and quite extracted – especially coming after Desmirail. Interestingly, however, it seems more subtle and refined at the UGC tasting where it was presented immediately after Lascombes (context is important). But there’s a place for both styles and different degrees of extraction. An aromatically expressive wine with a dark berry and stone fruit, subtle floral notes and a delicate salinity. Naturally sweet on the entry, with gossamer tannins revealing the extremities of a tight core of dark berry and cherry fruit. Not perhaps quite as much detail and delineation as the superstars of the appellation, but impressively intense and packing quite a punch. Long, fresh and with no hint of dryness. 92-94.”

“The nose is ripe with concentration, precision, frankness and a hint of infusion. There are notes of fairly ripe raspberries, creamy blackberries and slight notes of roasted red berries associated with touches of sweet blond tobacco, vanilla and a discreet hint of sweet spices. The palate is fruity with freshness and minerality. It has a fresh and juicy frame with good definition that brings a certain greediness and tension. This wine has some breadth, fullness and notes of luscious, juicy blackberries, luscious strawberries and faintly fresh luscious blueberries paired with hints of toasted almonds. There is a discreet note of mocha with finely dry tannins on a chocolate creaminess in the background. Good length and persistence.”

“When the highly concentrated vintage of 2022 meets the "intensely rich" Château Marquis de Terme, would one anticipate a collision of cosmic proportions? Yet, from my tasting experience, it doesn't overreach; instead, it maintains a remarkable balance, and the "Fermentation Intégrale" keeps the tannins in check. Swirling the glass reveals not an overpowering berry aroma, but rather a delightful hint of violet, a pleasant surprise. Although the wine's body remains robust, the tannins are notably silky, preventing any sense of heaviness. For aficionados of bold, super structured wines, the Château Marquis de Terme 2020 is undeniably a top choice.”
