93/100 James Suckling
”Aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and fresh flowers follow through to a medium body, with juicy and round tannins that show a delicious intensity. Currants and berries. Fresh and focused. 78% merlot and 18% cabernet, the rest petit verdot. “
93/100 Decanter
“Gorgeous milk chocolate on the perfumed nose which also shows roses and blackcurrants. Supple and agile, this flows nicely in the mouth. Grainy texture, the flavours of medicinal herbs, anise, clove, a touch of liquorice with dark bramble fruits spread out across the mouth with a little bitterness on the cheeks and tongue, but good density and focus and I love the powdery tannins. Juicy, precise and focused. A nice effort with good overall freshness. I like the comforting, texture. A blend of 78% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot. Aged 12 months, 30% new oak.”
93/100 Vert de Vin
“On the nose, fruity with juiciness, freshness, a nice texture, depth and subtle profoundness. It reveals notes of tart/fresh strawberry, dense/juicy dark berries and hints of blackberry combined with hints of crisp plum, crisp strawberry, as well as hint of tonka bean, nutmeg, sweet spices, a discreet hint of green cardamom, green curry and hint of mocha. On the palate, fruity along with juiciness, acidity, sauavity, gourmandize, good defination, sauavity, precision, elegant, straightness, a small creaminess, density, a little obscurity, depth as well as a little tightness. The wine expresses notes of pulply/sparkling cassis, small juicy black berries and hints of fleshy/juicy redcurrant combined with touches of raspberry, violet plum and hints of sleek mineralogy, camphor, sweet blond tobacco, fine black tea. The tannins are elegant, creamy and offer richness. Good persistence.”

” What can be thought of as the third wine of the château, the 2020 Le Petit Ducru De Ducru-Beaucaillou is mostly Merlot yet includes 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. It's a legit wine and has classic aromatics of cassis, darker berries, violets, and a kiss of minerality to go with a medium to full-bodied style on the palate. Ripe, concentrated, and balanced, this terrific wine can be enjoyed any time over the coming 10-12 years (and I have no doubt it will keep even longer).”
91/100 Falstaff
“Deepest ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on rim. Fine cassis, licorice, candied orange zest. Medium body, dark cherries, freshly structured, integrated tannins, mineral, persists, seems already well developed.”
91/100 Jeff leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"Tobacco, spice and red fruits come forward easily. Medium-bodied, soft, supple, fresh and forward define this wine. This charmer is already a pleasure to drink, you can think of it as a baby Ducru Beaucaillou, as it is essentially the third wine of Ducru"
