Tasting Notes and Observations
Colour: Bright Gold
Nose: All the panellists detected earthy flora led aromas such as hay bales, autumn leaves and ploughed fields. The meaty smoke comes across with undertones of tanned leather beach pebbles and seaside bonfires.
Palate: Sweeter than the nose would have you believe. Creamy and sugary like icing, marzipan or marshmallows. Apple and pear esters alongside nutty pistachio flavours. Herbal and heathery with smoke akin to a crofter’s bonfire.
Finish: Spicy and woody BBQ smoke with hints of bitter coffee dregs, and a minty aftertaste.
