"96 points. Lasts a long time on the palate. Classic structure" - James Suckling
"96 points. One of the most beautiful successes of the chateau."
Cru Cos d’Estournel). Forvent store vine med stort lagringspotentiale.
Anmeldelser af Château Saint-Pierre 4. Cru Saint-Julien 2019
96/100 James Suckling
"Very pretty and typical for the appellation with aromas of blackcurrants, violets and sandalwood that follow through to a full body with layers of polished tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Lasts a long time on the palate. Classic structure. "

96/100 La Revue du Vin de France
"The style of the cru has evolved towards greater finesse, with finer management of the wood. It is obvious with this 2019 of very pretty elegance, with a creamy texture and a melted and harmonious finish. One of the most beautiful successes of the chateau."
94-96/100 Robert Parker
“Very deep purple-black colored, the 2019 Saint-Pierre comes shooting out of the glass with vibrant scents of crushed black and red currants, black raspberries and boysenberries with touches of lavender, tilled soil, pencil shavings and camphor plus a waft of red roses. The medium-bodied palate is charged with energy, featuring densely packed, muscular black and red fruits with a solid frame of ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. Make no mistake, this estate is on a roll!”
94-96/100 Jeb Dunnuck
“The 2019 Château Saint-Pierre (Saint Julien) checks in as 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot. It's a big, rich, powerful wine loaded with notions of blackcurrants, smoked earth, chocolate, and violet notes. It shows more elegance on the palate and is medium to full-bodied, has beautiful tannins, and a terrific sense of freshness and purity. It's going to need 4-6 years of bottle age yet will drink well for 30 years or more.”
94-96/100 Vinous
"The 2019 Saint-Pierre, the sibling of Gloria owned by Domaines Martin rather than the Right Bank estate, is an address that has rapidly become one of the go-to Saint-Juliens in recent years. The bouquet is exquisite: pure blackberry, raspberry and briary scents infused with cedar and hints of mocha, very well defines a little more generous tha Gloria. The palate is fresh and detailed with grippy tannins. Very good structure here, a sturdy yet paradoxically elegant wine a lip-smacking salinity on the long finish. Superb, absolutely superb."
94-96/100 Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"The wealth of fruit is something you notice right off the bat. Lusciously textured, rich, fresh, nuanced and complex, the waves of perfectly ripe, concentrated, velvety fruit are fresh, long, intense, complex and exciting. This is a top vintage for Saint Pierre."
95/100 Decanter
“A powerful St Julien, bedded and knitted down with layers of cassis and bilberry fruits, crushed stone and baked earth, along with a gentler waft of tobacco and black pepper spice. Needs time to open, this is a confident wine with a ton of tannin, and will require a bit of patience but you'll be richly rewarded.”

"Superb, very floral aromas; compact approach, great density, class tannins, fruity flowery length, stunning elegance and sophistication."
94/100 Vert de Vin Magazine
"The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a racy power as well as a small intensity. It reveals notes of pulpy/ripe cassis, small black fruits, small notes of ripe strawberry associated with fine touches of blueberry, violet as well as fine hints of fresh cornflower, sweet spices, cardamom, black tea and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous/juicy frame, a good definition, a very rich matter, concentration/power, juiciness, gourmandize as well as a fine tension, a fine racy minerality, a beautiful balance and a pulpy/ripe/dense fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of beautiful juicy/fresh black berries, crushed blackberry, small notes of crushed griotte associated with touches of crushed blueberry, juicy/fresh raspberry as well as hints of violet, chocolate, toasted and very fine hints of cardamom/tea. Good length. Tannins are racy, structuring and coating. A very discreet hint of dry almond on the persistence."
94/100 Andreas Larsson, Tasted.com
"Ripe dark fruit, floral with violet, blackberry, raspberry, fine oak and discreet spiciness. Dense palate rounded and silky with a grainy texture, layers of crushed dark fruit, and a dense, long and sustained finish. Very good."
