"97-98 points. Possesses dazzling charm and grace" - Vinum Magazin
"96 point. Alt er zen ..." - Houlberg
"94-96 points. A wine that will have power and great concentration" - Wine Enthusiast
97-98/100 Vinum Magazin
"For several years, Brane has shone with great harmony and freshness, dazzling elegance and delicacy. 2017 is no exception: the wine possesses dazzling charm and grace, freshness, polish, shine and great length; worth a sin."
96/100 Houlberg
"6 Thumbs Up. 96 point."

"While the wood flavors are palpable in this wine, so are the firm tannins and dense black fruit. These elements suggest a wine that will have power and great concentration while also generous blackberry fruits. Drink from 2024."
94/100 James Suckling
"A tight, focused center palate to this red with blackberries, dark chocolate, hazelnuts and smoke. Medium to full body, polished tannins and a juicy, lightly chewy mouthfeel. A blend of 74% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 4% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. Try after 2022."
94/100 Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"Offering an intoxicating mélange of floral, earthy and spicy scents along with cedar, tobacco and black raspberry notes, it’s very apparent something brilliant is about to happen. In the glass, you’ll find elegance and refinement. The fruits are on the red side but the tannins are so delicate, the juice so plentiful, that attention is elsewhere. From a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the wine reached 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.76. It represents 60% of the harvest. The higher than usual percentage of the Grand Vin is due to the frost, which hit the parts of the vineyard customarily reserved for the second wine. The harvest took place from September 14 to October 10."
94/100 La Revue du Vin de France
"The 2017 displays a straight profile, marked by the straightness of Cabernet. This is a wine with a classic profile but also velvety in the expression of its tannins. Very beautiful elegance."

"Brane Cantenac was well-made, ripe fruit and tannin, quite complex and long. Splendid structure, backbone and length. Excellent for the vintage. Cantenac Brown was similarly excellent showing slightly more acidity and length."
93/100 Decanter
"A lovely wine that sits extremely prettily though the palate, with a seductive expression of florality and blackberry fruits. It's not as powerful as the past two years, but is skilfully worked with soft grilled oak notes. It doesn't sacrifice the excellent quality that this estate has been producing. Drinking Window 2025 - 2038"
